Employees are entitled to a safe workplace, and the gap between that entitlement and reality is usually an inspection that never happened or a risk assessment nobody implemented. This masterclass covers the full cycle of occupational health and safety inspection: the legal requirements for conducting OHS inspections, planning them, conducting them to identify non-compliance, and reporting so findings drive correction. The cohort works through major occupational hazards — including hazardous substances, dangerous goods labelling, organic peroxides, and fire and explosion risk factors — determining who could be exposed and when, the duties of manufacturers and suppliers, and implementing the outcome of the risk assessment inside a functioning OHS management system.
