Banking operations are no longer a back-office function. Every deposit, loan, payment, customer interaction, control and digital transaction ultimately shapes the bank’s efficiency, risk profile, customer experience and profitability — yet operations, risk, finance and customer teams rarely see the whole chain. This practical two-day masterclass gives banking professionals an end-to-end understanding of how modern banking operations work and how operational decisions translate into financial performance: deposits, lending, payments and clearing, treasury and liquidity, capital, NIM, RoA, RoE and the cost-to-income ratio. Participants diagnose process and control weaknesses, strengthen maker-checker and operational risk management, navigate KYC and AML/CFT obligations, lift branch performance, SLAs and customer experience, and assess what AI, RPA, automation, open banking and fintech partnerships mean for scalable growth. Two applied challenges run through the programme, ending in a 90-Day Banking Operations Improvement Action Plan each participant takes home. Delivered in English and French across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and in-house for individual banks.

Frequently asked
Is this programme suitable for senior banking executives?
Yes. The masterclass is pitched intermediate to advanced and is designed for CEOs, COOs, senior executives and heads of banking functions as much as for operations managers — senior leaders gain a structured, end-to-end view of how operational decisions drive the numbers they answer for.
Is the programme only for banking operations professionals?
No. It is deliberately cross-functional: operations, branch banking, credit and lending, treasury, finance, risk, compliance, internal audit, customer experience, payments and digital banking teams all work from the same integrated picture of the bank — that shared perspective is the point of the programme.
How practical is the masterclass?
Very. Alongside expert instruction and case studies, participants work simulated bank balance sheets and profitability dashboards, redesign processes, analyse branch performance and respond to realistic operational, risk and customer scenarios. The programme culminates in a 90-Day Banking Operations Improvement Action Plan, supported by KPI dashboards, process checklists and risk-control templates participants take away.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Yes. Participants who complete the full two-day programme receive a BIZENIUS Certificate of Completion, available in digital and physical formats and shareable on LinkedIn.
How is the programme delivered, and can it run in-house?
BIZENIUS delivers the masterclass in classroom and live online formats, in English and French, on a rolling calendar with dates confirmed on request. An in-house edition can be tailored to your bank’s operating model, customer segments, branch network, lending processes, digital channels, risk profile and regulatory environment. Fees and quotations on enquiry.
