Logistics & Contract Management for Oil & Gas Operations

In remote operations the supply line is the operation — a rig waiting on logistics burns money faster than almost any other failure.

Classroom · Live Virtual

The programme

Oil and gas logistics runs on hard constraints — remote sites, weather windows, hazardous cargo, customs regimes — and on contracts with the vessels, aircraft, trucks and bases that serve them. This programme works both halves as one discipline: demand planning and materials coordination against operational schedules; marine, air and land logistics with their real cost drivers and safety obligations; and the contract craft — scopes, rates and performance regimes for logistics contractors, managed actively through the life of the contract rather than filed after signature.

What you will do

Plan logistics against operational schedules, weather and customs realities
Control marine, air and land logistics costs at their real drivers
Write logistics contracts with scopes and performance regimes that bind
Manage contractors through the contract’s life — reviews, claims, exits

Who attends

Logistics and materials coordinators in oil and gas; supply chain and contracts professionals serving operations; base and marine coordinators; operations planners.

Cohorts bring together board members, executives and the rising leaders behind them — kept deliberately small, so every seat is a peer’s.

Programme agenda

Built for the decisions no textbook prepares you for

I.The supply line
  • Demand planning against the drilling and operations schedule
  • Marine, air, land: capabilities, constraints, cost drivers
  • Hazardous cargo, customs and the paperwork that stops shipments
II.The contracts
  • Scoping logistics services: what to specify, what to leave flexible
  • Rates and remuneration models: day rates, lump sums, incentives
  • Performance regimes: KPIs, service credits, safety obligations
III.Managing the life of both
  • Contractor reviews that change performance, not record it
  • Variations and claims: handled early, documented always
  • Emergency logistics: the surge plan tested before it is needed

Frequently asked

Who are the operations, procurement and project programmes designed for?

They are built for practitioners who carry delivery accountability — procurement and supply chain professionals, project and programme managers, PMO teams and operations leaders. Cohorts are deliberately cross-industry: the disciplines of sourcing, tendering, project control and portfolio governance are the same craft whether the organisation is a bank, a utility or a manufacturer.

Are these certification-preparation courses?

No. BIZENIUS programmes are practice-led rather than exam-led: casework, live negotiations and control-cycle exercises built from real project and procurement situations. Participants leave with methods and templates they apply the following week, and a certificate of completion from BIZENIUS — we do not sell third-party exam preparation.

How do I secure a seat on an operations or projects programme?

Apply through the course page or request the brochure — a course advisor replies within one business day with dates, formats and fees. Programmes run in English and French, classroom and live virtual, and every course can be delivered in-house for a single team or transformation programme.
