Certificate in Recruitment & Succession Planning (Qatarization)

Human resource planning built for the Qatarization mandate — selection science, succession strategy and workforce planning that identifies and grows Qatari talent.

The programme

Qatarization sets a hard target: meaningful permanent employment for 50 per cent or more of Qatari citizens in positions integral to private and public-sector business plans, as one of the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. Meeting it takes more than quotas — it takes disciplined Human Resource Planning across the recruitment and succession cycle. This advanced programme covers the full span: HR strategy, recruitment and selection, induction, retention, performance management, competencies, training and development, and discipline and grievance handling. The cohort practises behavioural interviewing, works competency frameworks and assessment centres, applies Emotional Intelligence tools, runs an HR risk-assessment simulation with coaching, and builds workforce plans that identify and nurture Qatari national talent.

What you will do

Apply the key principles of the HR cycle — strategy, recruitment and selection, induction, retention, performance management, competencies, training and development, discipline and grievance handling.
Run behavioural and targeted interviews, practising the technique across numerous interviewing approaches.
Separate the excellent candidate from the average one using competency frameworks and an assessment centre tested against future job requirements.
Test candidate potential with Emotional Intelligence (EI) tools rather than impressions.
Build a succession planning strategy with the HR risk-assessment tool, grounded in two real-life applications and a coached simulation.
Plan the workforce to deliver Qatarization, from analysing talent markets and gap analysis to setting HR priorities and talent localisation in multinationals.
Present recruitment and selection plans persuasively, developing the influencing skills that win resources.

Who attends

  • Senior HR managers with overall responsibility for recruitment and selection

  • Line managers who assess candidates during recruitment
  • Professionals accountable for the provision of key members of staff

Cohorts bring together board members, executives and the rising leaders behind them — kept deliberately small, so every seat is a peer’s.

Frequently asked

Do the HR programmes cover people analytics and workforce planning?

Yes. The curriculum runs from analytics for talent management through strategic workforce planning, competency frameworks and succession. Participants leave able to build a workforce plan, apply statistical techniques to the data already sitting in their HRIS, and connect talent decisions to business impact in numbers.

Do programmes address nationalisation and localisation mandates?

Yes — recruitment, retention and succession under nationalisation mandates are covered directly, including competency-based selection and the succession pipelines those policies demand. Participants leave able to build a localisation plan that fills roles with capability, not just headcount.

How does admission to an HR programme work?

Submit an application or a brochure request from the programme page; a senior practitioner answers within one business day, brochure included. There is no online checkout — dates, format and fees are settled in that conversation.

Can we train our whole HR function at once?

Yes. Every programme runs in-house, tailored to your HR operating model, your systems and your workforce priorities, in English or French. A private cohort lets the whole function work on the same live problem rather than sending individuals to separate courses.
